This Week's Goals
When I was working at the Health Department as a Health Educator, I facilitated a class called "Living Well with Chronic Conditions" (which I HIGHLY recommend, it's a free six week course offered all over the world). At the end of every class, each class member and facilitator would create a goal for the week. These goals were very specific. We had to account for what exactly we would be doing, how often, which days, and for how long. We also had to rate the probability of completing the goal on a scale from one to ten. If you were lower than a 7, you were supposed to modify the goal so you felt more confident about completing it.
I love making goals and creating lists but a lot of the time I get too ambitious! I don't specify when I'm going to be doing each thing, which days, for how long. Those steps are important! The more specific you make it the more likely you are to achieve it! I'm working on remembering all the steps to effective goal-setting.
Here are my goals for this week:
Plan meals for the cabin on Wednesday night.
Clean the house on Tuesday. With our Homemade Cleaners!
Plan meals through September focusing on using food storage Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday night.
Order eclipse glasses on Monday nap-time.
Submit Wake Forest app Friday morning.
Review homeschool routine & levels Tuesday nap-time.
Clear west side of rock garden each night after dinner.
What goals are you working on?
