Meal Plan February 4, 2018

French toast is from the freezer. I bulk prepped french toast a couple Saturdays ago. Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/passeyngby/videos/1045948602213437/

Sandwiches are always made with homemade white bread and then either peanut butter and jelly or lunch-meat and cheese. When I find lunch-meat for a good price I'll stock up and freeze it. We're down to our last 4 pounds of lunch-meat.

Ham steaks are from the whole ham I cooked over the weekend. I saved the ham steak for this meal and will likely freeze what we don't eat. I also cubed some of the ham to use in other recipes.

I'll make roasted veggies with a dry onion soup mix. Essentially you cut up your veggies, I'll be using the last of some red potatoes I purchased 20 for $1, as well as carrots. You then add 1-2 T of olive oil to coat the veggies and then toss the dry soup mix. Bake for 1 hour in 425 oven. Delicious!

The soup and chili we have for lunch is canned. We're trying to eat all of our food storage. I'm down to only 2 cans of chicken noodle. But we still have 7 cans of tomato soup. I purchased another 10 cans of chili last week when I was able to get them for 74 cents a can.

Hot dogs are in the freezer and were purchased at their lowest price, about $0.49.

Green Eggs & Ham is a family favorite.

Cook a pound of fettuccine following your packages directions. Drain fettuccine.

Preheat oven to 350.

While fettuccine is cooking; mix together 1 cup of sour cream, 1 cup of cubed ham, 1 cup of whipping cream (I use milk or evap milk), and 1/2 cup of granulated parmesan cheese. Add this mixture to drained fettuccine.

Put in 9x13 pan and bake for 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Fish sticks were purchased at Costco. They were an impulse- I tried the sample and they were good- buy! They're actually going on extra savings this week starting February 7th thru March 4th!

Taco Soup: https://www.sixsistersstuff.com/recipe/2016/02/seven-can-chicken-tortilla-soup/. I really enjoy this because it uses several canned items which we have in our food storage. It's also easy to add or substitute this recipe and still end up with a tasty soup!
