Guest Room Makeover

This room has had many different purposes over the time we've lived here. First it was Tafton and Mikaela's room, then the girl's room, next a storage room, and now it's a guest bedroom, although Jackson sleeps there currently!

When we bought the house it looked like this (Sorry for the poor quality, this is from the listing when we purchased)!

Peach paint everywhere! the walls, the trim, the heater. And then the wallpaper border! That was a sucker to get down. I should've got a nice shot of the blinds - they belonged in a sixties office.

After almost three years, the room now looks like this

Ta-da! I love this room. It's so full of natural light and it's the one room in the house that doesn't tend to get overrun with toys, clutter, and mess.

I painted the trim in Behr Silver Dust and the walls are painted with Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray.

We installed a 3 light fixture so we'd have plenty of light. We got this one from Home Depot.

Ben Passey designed and installed the beautiful window trim. It's painted in matching Valspar Silver Dust.

The rest is staging! I LOVE this beautiful light filled room!

HI - WE'RE THE PASSEY'S!

This blog chronicles our days as we strive to raise our family, be frugal, homeschool, and live our version of a suburban homestead life!

Thanks for passing by!
