Meal Plan Monday - March 5 2018

I made a triple batch of waffles two Saturdays ago using this recipe. I've decided to start grinding wheat and using whole wheat flour in some recipes. For these waffles I did half whole wheat and half white I also subbed 3/4 cup of flaxseed for flour. http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/basic-batter-waffles-110683

I made two dozen cherry muffins on baking Saturday using this recipe: https://www.bedandbreakfast.com/ListingRecipes.aspx?inn=209672&recipe=1953 I was able to use some of the homegrown cherries from the freezer.

Sandwiches: Sandwiches are always made with homemade bread and then either peanut butter and jelly or lunch-meat and cheese. When I find lunch-meat for a good price I'll stock up and freeze it. Sandwich Bread recipe: http://www.dealstomealsblog.com/2009/03/10/my-new-favorite-whole-wheat-bread/

The chili we have for lunch is canned. We're trying to eat all of our food storage. We have around 12 cans of chili left.

Spaghetti Carbonara is a family favorite and really easy to put together!

Cook a pound of spaghetti.

Cook a pound of bacon, chopped. Drain Spaghetti.

While spaghetti & bacon are cooking mix 3 eggs, 1/4 c cream ( I use milk or evap. milk), 1/2 c Parmesan cheese. Once bacon is done, drain into egg mixture. MIx. Once Spaghetti is done, mix everything together. Enjoy!

I got such a great deal on bacon! See my latest Grocery Shopping Post!

Taco Tuesday: I make our taco meat with 1 lb of ground turkey and 1 can of kidney beans. I make homemade taco seasoning. There are lots of different recipes for this on Pinterest. We'll have sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and taco sauce for toppings.

Teriyaki Chicken: This is my Dad's marinade recipe. Marinate for at least an hour, no more than 24 hours. Grill and enjoy! We'll be having with rice and veggies.

1/2 C Water

1/2 C Soy Sauce

1 T Oil

1 T Sugar

1/2 t Ginger

Potstickers are from Costco. I'd love to brag and say I make our own potstickers but I just don't! We love these potstickers; it'll be a quick to throw together dinner on baking Saturday. I'll serve with leftover rice making it an even faster dinner.
